At the heart of Australia’s property and infrastructure landscape lies APP Corporation, a renowned consultancy firm dedicated to fostering prosperity in both their clients and the communities they serve. With an unwavering commitment to shaping the nation’s economic and social infrastructure, as well as the places people call home and workplaces they frequent, APP has earned its place as one of Australia’s most respected players in the industry.
Since its inception in 2009, APP has been guided by a registered Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), a testament to their voluntary dedication to making a meaningful impact across three vital pillars: Respect, Relationships, and Opportunities. This plan has been continuously refined, with revisions made throughout 2020 and 2021. It was during this period that our journey with APP began.
APP recognised the importance of visually representing their commitment to reconciliation and approached us to craft a unique artwork that would encapsulate their journey, connection to the community, land, and Country.
During the process of creating the artwork, we’ve introduced some earth tones to convey a contemporary and inviting feeling whilst encompassing their branding colour palette. Colours of burnt orange, red, yellow and blue were the basis, as these represent the land we live off. The developed design also gravitates towards connection to Country and preservation of land.
The artwork shares the essence of the APP Corporation team members coming together in the centre. It showcases people from all walks of life – to create, build and share. The focus on the surroundings and the use of the thicker lines represents the built environment and projects by APP across the land (cross hatching). It’s about embracing the three RAP pillars above – Respect, Relationships and Opportunities.
Our joy was immeasurable when we learned that the final design resonated deeply with the APP Corporation team. This artwork is more than an image; it’s a profound representation of their principles and values. A cornerstone of their workplace, it stands as a testament to the celebration of culture and a tool for education. The artwork has been embraced their Innovate Reconciliation Action Plan July 2022 – July 2024, tender submissions/responses, email signatures, background for zoom, website, capability statements and other communicative material. In collaboration with APP Corporation, we’ve not only crafted an artwork, but a symbol that encapsulates their
journey, values, and aspirations. We’re honoured to have been a part of this meaningful endeavour, where creativity meets purpose in fostering positive change within the realm of property and infrastructure consultancy.
We would like to acknowledge the Nations of which we come from, live upon and create within. We’d like to acknowledge and pay our respects to our Elders past, present and future emerging. We’d also like to extend our gratitude for the gifts from Mother Earth, our Ancestors, our Creators and our communities. We thank them for the knowledge and guidance we embrace as proud First Nations people embarking on our creative journeys and having the space to share through cultural storytelling and design. We therefore, would like to say GAWAYMBANHA ‘Welcome’ as you join us in YIRRA MIYA ‘growing together’.
