When Sarah Richards, the visionary artist behind Marrawuy Journeys, approached us to bring her rebranding vision to life, we knew we were embarking on a journey of deep connection. Through our immersive Brand Discovery Workshop, Sarah unveiled the essence of Marrawuy Journeys, her personal motivations, and the grand vision she held. Her story resonated deeply with us, and we aimed to translate her narrative into every facet of her reimagined brand.

About the Logo

Drawing from Sarah’s remarkable artistic background, we recognised the significance of incorporating her unique artistic style into the heart of the rebrand. The focal point was the incorporation of her totem, Marrawuy (Mar-ra-way), which translates to Red Kangaroo in Ngiyampaa. This totem held ancestral significance, and it became a pivotal element in our creative process. Sarah’s concept sketches provided valuable insights, which we meticulously transformed into a digital realm, further refining the logo’s development. The resulting logo embodies a kangaroo leg in motion, adorned with dots that encapsulate the journey of Sarah’s artistry.

A fascinating detail emerges here—the font used for ‘Marrawuy’ is none other than Sarah’s own artist signature. This unique touch captures the authenticity and personal connection she brings to her art, now seamlessly woven into her brand identity.
