We were so pleased when Kate Munro connected with us to talk about her exciting plans to launch her own business, Luminosity Youth Development Solutions. After many years working with Government departments and NGO’s supporting the Youth Services sector, Kate had decided to establish Luminosity Youth Development Solutions to further advocate within this sector by utilising her existing network and community of practitioners. Kate’s vision for Luminosity was to offer consulting, reporting, funding submissions, and capacity building to better support youth and community. Leticia felt an instant connection to this project due to her own experience of working within the Youth Services sector and with Kate during her previous roles.

Leticia resonated with the definition of ‘Luminosity’ – ‘the brightness of a star’ and loved Kate’s personal connection as her father was an astronomer. The meaning also resonated with Kate’s ethos and belief that you should see the light in every child and help them shine bright.

Branding

Kate opted for our Platypus branding package and Leticia started work on her logo. Working closely with Kate, they decided to use multiple stars in the form of a starry sky for the logo as Kate strongly believed we are at our best when we work together – an ethos we fully understand at Yirra Miya as we embrace a collaborative approach with all our clients. The star elements of the logo represent the young children Kate advocates for and demonstrate how focused she is on helping children shine. The dots represent those in the community who support and advocate for children and are prepared to stand back and let them live to their full potential. Once the logo was designed Leticia and the team moved on to create collateral and created a strong identity for a business in the early stages of growth.

Website

As Luminosity was still very much in its early stages of growth, Kate opted for a landing page whilst she focused on furthering her reach. The website makes an important statement about Kate’s aims, the services she offers, and her approaches and principles. It tells Kate’s story and carries strong messages of positivity throughout which underline the strength of her beliefs.

Share & Embrace

Leticia, Barbi and Justine enjoyed every moment of working with Kate and were constantly inspired by everything she stands for, and her desire to create lasting positive change for young people. We have been lucky enough to work with Kate again on additional collateral and it has been incredibly heartwarming to know that her consultancy work continues to grow.

We wish Kate every success and look forward to working with her on many more projects.
